Raw mask pieces:
The Blue Spirit mask kit is a set of raw resin-cast pieces, straight from the molds with no additional cleanup. You will need to do some work removing flashing left over from the molding process, cutting out the eyes, nose, and mouth, and sanding down the edges. I also recommend backfilling the "horns" for a more solid appearance, but that's up to you. (There's an option below where I'll do the cleanup and backfilling for you.)
Please note the measurements on the third photo to make sure the mask will be a good fit for you. This is quite a large-sized mask so fit really shouldn't be an issue for anyone, but if you've got a smaller stature it may look rather large on you.
For reference, I am 5'10" and have a 23" cranium and it fits me fine and looks proportional.
This base kit includes the following:
- Resin face mask
- Resin tusks (2)
- Instruction Guide
There are also a few optional items you can add; please see below.
Cleaned up & backfilled:
Optional - Casting Cleanup
If you choose this option, I will take care of cleaning up the resin cast piece for you. I will remove all flashing from the molding process, cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth, and sand all edges smooth. I will also glue in the tusks and back-fill the "horns" with lightweight epoxy putty for a solid, flat appearance.
Example mask with covers installed:
Optional - Pre-cut eye, nose, and mouth covers
This option adds a set of 4 pre-cut pieces of see-through black mesh fabric you can use to cover the eye holes, nose holes, and mouth holes. You can see out through them easily, but no one outside will be able to see you.
The example photos to the left show what the covers look like installed in a finished mask from the front and back, to demonstrate how the effect looks from both sides.
Optional - Mask straps
This option adds a set of pre-measured, 1" wide black poly webbing straps with the ends melted to prevent unraveling. The top strap has a loop sewn into it so the back strap can slide through it. Four triglide slides are also included to make your mask fully adjustable to the individual wearer.
Poly webbing is similar to nylon webbing (like backpack straps), but won't stretch out of shape over time like nylon can.
An instruction guide is also included to show how I recommend attaching the straps to your mask kit.
