Nightlyre says: A few things today! I've got a bit of news, and then a few shout-outs that I've been meaning to start doing for a while.
Well, for one, it's the start of a new chapter! Stay tuned, because on Thursday, we will be debuting a new feature to the site. Also, I'm hoping to have the World page finished this week; we wanted to make it pretty in-depth without giving too much away. Hopefully you all will enjoy what we've come up with!
The first shout-out goes to Scattered Leaves, a fellow SpiderForest comic. Scattered Leaves looks to have been running about the same length of time as Planes of Eldlor so far, and shows exceptional promise, both in the art style (I envy anyone who can make Prismacolor markers behave!) and in the storyline.
Recently, not one but two comic artists I very much admire have started brand new webcomics. Give them a look, if you've a mind to!
First is from Colby, author of Lint, a comic which she just completed recently. The new comic is called Pygmalion in Space. I'm very much looking forward to it!
The second is about someone called Colbey, but by Kez. Kez is well known for The War of Winds, and also for being one of the most fervent supporters of webcomic artists going. Her new comic is called What it Takes.
And with that, I've talked enough!
Leezard says: This week, it's hello to Sweden and Denmark!

Daedalus(Feb 8th, 2010 at 12:56 am) Heh, that almost looks 3D. Nice work on the shading there.

DuchessRed(Feb 8th, 2010 at 10:49 am) Oooh.. I want a job at The Black Feather.
Panda(Feb 8th, 2010 at 6:30 pm) Wow, that looks strangely photo-realistic! Good job.
Nemoricus(Feb 8th, 2010 at 8:44 pm) Ooh, is that a tavern? It must be. Quests always start in a tavern.
theshadowdweller(Feb 10th, 2010 at 3:50 pm) DuchessRed ill take an ale please, and a copper tip if its cold. If we are calling dibs on Black Feather regulars, i call dibs on the story teller who sits in the corner with a pipe...and a cold ale if DuchessRed gets around to it.
DuchessRed(Feb 11th, 2010 at 10:36 am) As soon as someone invents refrigeration... :P Unless the tavern has its own springhouse or a really deep cellar, that is.
Nightlyre(Feb 11th, 2010 at 10:44 am) You'll get warm ale and like it! ;)
theshadowdweller(Feb 11th, 2010 at 7:15 pm) Your telling me that you can freeze a dragon solid, and you cant cool one stinking ale?? Duchess, your off the hook, ill take a warm ale. Nightlyre and Leezard you two are in serious hot water for not being able to come up with a "chill ale" spell...i mean even the demon squirrels in my attic can do that! Who cares about a "heal fellow dragon" spell if you cant get cool ale. *goes off grumbling
DuchessRed(Feb 12th, 2010 at 7:59 am) Hot water? I do hope it's a hot water *bottle*...
If I get to be an employee of The Black Feather, does this mean I also get Broom Chasing (+3 agility with the Vorpal Broom)?
JakeR(Feb 12th, 2010 at 2:38 pm) Hoping this isn't so late that it will never be noticed, but I have a quick question. I have a mac, and I really want to play I of the dragon. I'm thinking of buying windows 7 and using boot camp to load it on my mac, will I of the dragon work on a plain windows 7 OS with no previous versions?
Found this comic via a google search, a while back you posted that you could play I of the dragon on windows 7, and it worked. I tried posting on that comic, but it was several months old and I figured a more recent comic would be more likely to be seen. Thanks in advance!
Leezard(Feb 12th, 2010 at 5:46 pm) @JakeR, I of the Dragon was pretty much the first thing I tried after doing a clean install of Win7. It's playable but suffers from crashes and when flying at low level won't accept keyboard commands to turn. Otherwise it mostly works 8p. Oh and don't worry about posting on older pages, we have a system in place that allows us to see all posts.
theshadowdweller(Feb 12th, 2010 at 7:14 pm) .....it depends...are you chasing me?
DuchessRed(Feb 12th, 2010 at 9:46 pm) O.O I'm not sure whether that's a challenge or an accusation.
LOL
theshadowdweller(Feb 21st, 2010 at 11:58 am) Hey Leezard, Nightlyre, what would i have to trade to have a random cameo in the back corner of the pub? How about 20 votes on twc?
Nightlyre(Feb 21st, 2010 at 4:52 pm) Gotta say no, I'm afraid. Wait, don't hurt me! I have a good reason!
Y'see, the pages involving the Black Feather are already finished and in the buffer. Thus, to change them would involve me making edits to existing pages. If I open a page to edit it, I'll see 3 dozen other things that I must fix. But then, of course, since they're fixed on that page and not other pages, I'll have to go fix them everywhere... and then I won't be working on new pages! It's a vicious circle, I tell you, vicious!
theshadowdweller(Feb 22nd, 2010 at 4:06 pm) Hum...okay i see your problem...what if, you make a new page, of the inside of the black feather. You could have it be for fun as it were. have you and leezard in it, me in the corner, (leezard could continue to ignore my state :P) and send some kudos out to the island places that he is always waving too. It would be a grand boon to your loyal followers. Throw a dragon on the side for all the dragon fans. Its a grand idea, really it is. So not only would it increase loyalty with your readers, it would generate more traffic as people

Really like this comic - can almost never go wrong with dragons :P
