This is a set of handcrafted mini dragon egg sculptures with their tiny hatchlings in various stages of peeking out.
I know I’m not supposed to play favorites with my hatchlings, but just look at those little tiny teeth! I love little tiny teeth.
I originally wanted to do this sculpture in all white. I love how those baby blue eyes turned out! (Blue polymer clay behind glass cabochons) This was the first time I tried sculpting individual scales. It took quite a while, but looked very nice.
This little one got all the attention (and ended up selling) at Phoenix Comicon. S’pose that means I should make more lovely black dragons! He also nearly didn’t make it.
This sculpted drake hatchling was crafted to resemble the exclusive I did for Phoenix Comicon 2012.
This little dragon was sculpted in polymer clay with texture painting done in acrylic.
A light blue baby dragon sculpted from polymer clay, hatching from a blue-green colored egg made from a hollowed-out gourd, sitting on a bed of rocks and moss, on a wooden base.
This is a polymer clay sculpture of a little green dragon hatching from a rusty red-brown egg.
The second photo is my favorite; this little fellow has a very mischievous face.
This little blue sculpted dragon is made from polymer clay and painted with acrylics.
