Shelly is a sweet little squirrel gargoyle with an interesting story!
Katella is a lounging cat gargoyle, ever-alert but contented.
Some critters just lend themselves to becoming ‘goyles, and this little vixen was definintely one of them.
And Squirry the squirrel went “Neep, neep, neep!”, and they all went home for tea.
Okay, well, sometimes I do things just to amuse myself. 🙂
Well, I’d done a small cat ‘goyle… so I needed to do a big cat ‘goyle! I’m particularly proud of her paws with their cute little pawpads.
Pogo is not one for the arachnophobes! I adore spiders, but most especially salticidae – jumping spiders, which Pogo here is based on.
Hazel is… well, I was going to say a bunnygoyle, but that just didn’t fit. He’s a sleek, agile hare and deserves to be recognized as such! Looks a bit like the jackrabbit we get visiting our front yard now and then.
TortGoyle. TortGoyle? Heh, wasn’t sure quite what to call her. She’s a tortoise, in any case. A lot of detail work went into her, and I’m quite happy with how she turned out!
Fern is a bit more like one of those agile tropical frogs than old Filbert is. She’s got long legs and widespread wings, and looks just about ready to take a wild leap! Seriously, I just love her feet.
Filbert is a lazy old froggie, but I think he’s darling just the same. It was raining here quite heavily a few days before I sculpted him, and every once in a while, a heavy rain here brings out a peculiar type of toad which sings all night long. So, having amphibians on the brain, I decided I needed to sculpt a froggoyle.
